Similar to Conversational Leads this can be a great rapport builder. One of the main benefits and outcomes of NLP Language Patterns. Yet there is great value in doing it by design. That it is commonplace enables you to hide your other linguistic applications as you go. Anyone who has ever travelled to a country that has other than your own native tongue knows this one. Gesturing to the waiter or to someone else to pass the salt becomes an art form. This is a nice one to keep in mind. It keeps you fluid, keeps you moving.
 Again, similar to Conversational Leads this can be a great rapport builder. This can be a good strengthening factor. The effect is along the lines of sharing a more intimate moment with someone. It becomes more meaningful and memorable. Like sharing a private joke. While the effect of this can be minor, it nevertheless forms a part of a more effective 'whole' for its inclusion. You may as well use them when you can. Don't underestimate this one, along with Conversational Leads. They really are a nice way of deepening the immediate relationship - very effective for first meetings. It is amazing how many opportunities present themselves for you once it is in your mind to use this patter.
