NLP Practitioner Certification
An NLP Practitioner training covers a huge range of content. I have covered the standard approach / content here as that is most relevant to those of you looking for a training. In our trainings we approach the NLP Practitioner Certification very differently. We don't go so much through the formal techniques and jargon but rather pursue subtle nuanced skills that come from learning to read every gesture, vocal tone shift, language patterns etc. While these aspects are covered in traditional programs I don't think there is anywhere near enough emphasis on them. Too much is made of step by step procedures that stifle the flow that can be with this art. Click here to see the dates for our next training in Melbourne We regard the best use of this modality to be more as an artform for the highest level of skill. However, I hope the following content is useful as an overview of the modality and what it can offer you. A good training, even with standard fare, provides a magnificent skill set that will serve you well for the rest of your life. Don't leave home without one. Rapport
NLP is very well known for these rapport skills and yet not many people develop them to high levels of skill and subtlety. This is where drawing on Peter's 19 years experience becomes significant. - Understanding communication at the unconscious levels
- Establishing strong relationships quickly, even in challenging circumstances
- Learning distinctions between matching & mirroring, pacing & leading
- The differences that make the difference in building this into a very subtle and profoundly effective skill
- How is it that some people just naturally get on in some situations and others don't
- Learn to enhance existing relationships that work well, redeem those that don't and elegantly set up those that are yet to come
- When to not use NLP Practitioner rapport skills
Language Patterns
NLP has four main language systems that it draws upon. We will be addressing three of these in this NLP Practitioner level. Many of these patterns come from the work of Milton Erickson – the father of modern day hypnosis. - The difference between effective and ineffective language
- How to direct the mind toward agreement
- Learn the language of the nervous system
- Find the secrets behind the great communicators
- Style versus content
- Language as an insight into how we think
- Get precision into your communication
- Become flexible with multiple styles of communicating
Eye Patterns
This is a fascinating part of NLP. It is here that a hidden world of how we process and think is revealed. It is amazing what you can pick up through this approach. In our formal trainings we will often spend about an hour debriefing five minutes of video footage of an interview. You will learn how someone can be performing very well one instant and totally lose his or her effectiveness the next. All is revealed. While this is just one part of NLP it provides us with a foundation for much of our use of the art. Timeline
This system looks directly at how we process internally with our perceptions of time. - How is it that some people can always keep appointments and others rarely do
- Learn how your time processing can be ascertained from your gestures and language patterns
- Discovering the language of time
- How time orientations directly influence our motivation strategies
- Techniques to develop flexibility in this area - relax or focus when appropriate
- Using these processes to enhance your future and provide a more supporting past
State Control
This is an incredibly important aspect of NLP. This leads directly to control of emotions and essential states of mind. An NLP Practitioner should be able to instantly adapt to any situation with the appropriate state of mind. - Discover the building blocks of the emotions
- Recognize personal leverage points for your own self management
- How to apply the mind under stress
- Core patterns that effect all parts of our lives
- How to develop a more flexible mind through these strategies
Peter has taught these NLP skills at the elite level of performance with resounding success. NLP Learning Strategies
Most approaches to learning would be different if people understood some of the strategies covered here. Dynamic learning is a process that is ongoing before, during and after the event. We will cover core level learning processes that can quickly and easily streamline your capacity in this area of your life. - Learn new skills while integrating new qualities and behaviours
- How to learn from the best around you quickly and easily
- New Behaviour Generator
- Chunking and Sequencing
- Basic Modelling Philosophies
Philosophy

Facilitating internal change
Subtle and covert ways of communicating directly with the nervous system. NLP has a series of techniques that can produce lasting changes and instinctive results across a wide range of conditions and circumstances. Traditionally, in a typical NLP Practitioner Certification, these are taught as stand alone techniques. Our approach is to teach more the principles behind them so the participants can design their own as circumstances demand. You get to own the art of NLP and your own use of it as an NLP Practitioner. - Anchoring
